My mom is really sick.?

My mom is extremely sick. She has really bad back pains, and she said she just aches all over. She was throwing up like crazy last night, and she did a few times today. Her temperature is 95.6 degrees F. Anyone know what could be wrong with her?

sounds like food poisoning or the flu

The flu is going around like crazy. Give her an anti-inflammatory like motrin, ask the pharmacist what off brand you can use, cos they're just as good and lots cheaper. Ginger ale with a few grains of salt put in it to get rid of the bubbles is good for calming stomachs. Coke syrup is an old fashioned remedy too. Clear liquids are very good right now, including chicken broth, jello, although they are not clear, juice is good if she can keep it down. She needs to be drinking lots of liquids so she doesn't get dehydrated.

    peace

She could have the flu, food poisoning or a huge long list of numerous other things. Hopefully it is just something minor, but the symptoms are very common and could mean many things. She should go to the doctor, but her temperature is not high, it is low..

I don't think anyone here may be qualified to answer that, unless they are a physician. It sounds like she really needs to see a doctor, though. She has a retrograde fever (unless she normally runs about that low).

You can call a local hospital and ask if you can speak to a nurse, and describe your mom's problems. They may tell you to come in, or other directions. DO NOT CALL 911 though, unless it's a life or death situation. Call the hospital itself.

I wish her a speedy recovery and that she gets feeling better.

sounds like a flu type thing, theres a lot of vomiting bugs going round at moment. or could be a kidney infection. temperature sounds low rather than high as u would expect with something like this, maybe shes taken something like paracetamol to bring it down. make sure she drinks plenty of fluid and if shes not better in 24 hrs or gets worse call doc.

The temperature is kind of low considering the normal is 98.6 degrees. She does sound really sick, so she should be taken to the doctor for treatment.

It sounds like she needs to go to the doctor asap. If she's losing fluids quickly, she's getting dehydrated and she may even need to go to the ER if it continues. It could be any number of things, serious or not, that no one here will be able to tell you. Better safe than sorry. Good luck & I hope she feels better :)

it sounds like the symptoms of the 24 hour flu, if she is able to take Tylenol for the back pain, it should help. make sure she has alot of fluids, so she does not dehydrate. if this continues for more than 48 hours please call doctor

She could be catching a cold or ummm....if she's achy and throwing up...any chance of pregnancy??? if not, that's not normal she should go to the doctor's if it gets worse.
