Where can I find rail/train fares for travel in Europe?

Many sites do not show the fare for a single trip.

I plan to travel by rail

Rome to Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre to Genoa

Genoa to Milan

Milan to Rome

Update:

I am aware of Eurail Passes but I would like to know the individual fares. Some of my trips are short and I believe that that reduces the benefit of having a Eurail Pass.

Anyway, I'd like to know the individual fares.

Update 2:

Thank you for the information about Eurail.

Their site has the price of Eurail Passes but no information on individual fares.

Are all your designations in Italy?

    If so: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

You can always use one of the international sites, but the national one for the country is mostly better, specially for prices.

Use the local names where you know them, as the planners are working better that way.

If you can not find prices today, it might be because of a server being down.

But it can also be that the date you are searching is to near or to far. So try again tomorrow, and also try for a different date.

The Eurail site normally does have details on prices of individual tickets too, but not on the front page, it is in the section train tickets and schedules:

    http://www.raileurope.com/us/rail/fares_schedules/...

Select the towns between which you will travel and the time and it will give a selection of different trains, each with cost of the ticket.

But I often see warnings that they do not do the best prices, they might give standard fare where the national train planners will also give the lower prices for when you travel in quiet times or special offers.

The best information you will get if you contact the Italian railways, address you can find by clicking on the first link I gave.

Have a list ready of towns, dates and age/amount of people traveling together.

The best choice you can make is by going directly to the official eurail website. www.eurail.com. there you will be able to find a plan that fits your needs.
