please brush, your dentist will thank you, also brushing removes bacteria and other germs, which is good because the dentist will be cutting into you and you want to be as germ free as possible. Just make sure you spit it out. the whole 8 hours of not eating is to prevent you from throwing up and choking, which could lead to other problems.

yes, but i wouldnt advise the use of listerine as if you look at the ingredients it contains alcohol that actually promotes bacterial growth, plus leads to slower healing so brush your teeth and just swill with water. use an alcohol free mouthwash like oral B

I had oral surgery over the summer, and I also had my wisdom teeth removed (I think it was just my case, but I had BAD expierence there...sorry, don't mean to scare you...) but I remember them telling me not to eat 12 hours in advance and I THINK you can brush your teeth a little, but don't over do it on the tooth paste. I think...I can't remember.

i don';t see anything wrong with brushing ur teeth---its not like u are eating and swallowing stuff---brush---i'm sure the dentist would rather u not have a stinky mouth anyway--lol---altho most dentists i have been too have the worst breath u can imagine

As long as you don't drink or eat anything brushing and gargling should be fine. That's what I did before my procedure. Good Luck.

They don't want you eating because you're going under. I would say it's a good thing to brush and rinse before you go.

well probably, listerine kills bacteria so since they will be taking out your wisdom teeth you probably want your mouth to be as sterile as possible

Go for it...the doctor will appreciate the fresh breath...but do NOT swallow anything as they want a stable well digested stomach.

Just make sure you don't swallow any mouth wash. It is preferable that your mouth is clean before surgery. Be sure you rinse well. Good luck!

It's cleaning your teeth and using a germ killer/ breath freshener. I think your dentist would appreciate it if your breath didn't smell bad.
