If you have Metro PCS in your area that's probably the cheapest. I freaking love Metro PCS!

It's like $35 a month for unlimited minutes (local AND long distance), and unlimited texting!!!!

The only downside is that not all states have it yet, so if you travel a lot, it may not work in where you're going.

I would say T-Mobile. That's what I have I'm on a MyFavs Family Plan with 4 Lines. I get 700 Whenever Mins, Unlimited Nights, Unlimited Weekends, Unlimited Calling to 5 Numbers (Each Line Gets Unlimited Calling to 5 Phone Numbers even Landlines) And Unlimited Text Messages that's Text, IM, Pics, Videos. All for $129 a month.

I think At&T (formerly cingular) has the best plan for families. We have 3 phones and the second two we added on for only 9.99 a line. Plus they have rollover so if you don't use all the minutes you sign up for then you get them the next month and so on. Also with texting they let us add 1500 text messages, which is more than we would ever use, but I think they go up higher than that.

Try Sprint, We have it, same size family, we have 2100 minutes. WHich is like under 150 dollars. With unlimited text adding 10-15 dollars and digital about the same. You can get less minutes which makes the base way less. PLus the free phones are pretty nice

Check out alltel's family plans. I'm not sure if they have the best rates, but they're an excellent provider. Their family plans are pretty good. I have a smart phone family plan with unlimited messaging and unlimited internet. I think they're good.

Sprint has $20.00 for UNLIMITED text to any carrier for the whole family acct! With 4 lines, that's a nice low average dollar spent for text. Also nights start free at 7pm and for 10 dollars more the whole family can have them at 6pm.

T-Mobile. Excellant Coverage. They also have wireless routers that you have put into your house. It costs $30.00 for individual per month, and $40.00 per month for family. You each get a certain phone that supports wifi (their are only two) when you leave your house it switches from wifi to cell towers. You get unlimited calling in your house, and they have T-mobile hot spots where with that phone you can get unlimited calling like starbucks. Alot of Book stores and cofe shops too.

    Good Luck!

Umm. T-Mobile probably would be the best. BUT, I have T-Mobile and there is literally signal nowhere like up in the mountains, Vermont, and etc...

For the signal problem---Go to verizon. It is the most expensive carrier out there, but its worth it!! Good Luck. :)

verizon is the best, it has the best unlimited messenging, everything is very fast, and verizon has servise where a lot of other carriers do not. we have a family of five, and we have been using verizon for years and never have had a problem, and they have great customer support.
