Well, I think a lot of people don't really care about classic rock. To them, there may just not be any appeal. Yes, a lot of top 40 sucks especially today, but it's simply the generation gap. They simply aren't interested. Also, I doubt you are looking closely. There should always be at least 1 in every 40 kids in who listen to classic rock or old rock. Some are just silent about it.
