Post Partum Depression---Britney Spears?
you know I'm sick of people ragging on this girl, love to see half the people live a perfect life who comment on her.
Has anyone for one second thought, her having two babies within such close proximity would produce Post Partum Psychosis. She has a wide variety of drugs available that what celebrity doesn't take it now adays and mix that with recently giving birth, that would certainly make me nuts. Where's that theory?
Sure she be responsible but can you be when your mental health is i jeopardy? Instead of ragging on her, making fun of her. Where's the support? Even celebrity friends of hers, ie Madonna. Everyone came out to support Pervert Michael Jackson and not one person is backing a young mom.
It's so easy to judge people to make your own life look so much rosier.

I haven't heard anyone else mention the possibility of post-partum depression for her erratic behavior. That's a great insight.
I have read some really nasty things about her posted on OMG, and I had to wade in and ask people to stop calling her "white trash". That's one of the most ignorant things I've heard in a long time, and it's a racist comment, besides. It really has no place in the public domain.
I agree with you on "where are her celebrity friends"? This girl is in some serious danger, and it seems like she's just been left to dangle on the end of a rope.
PS to a previous post by someone here. (1) Liz Taylor, Madonna, and the Presleys supported Michael Jackson. (2) Mental illness, i.e., post-partum depression and bipolar, etc., defines the inability to help oneself. It's a mental disease: A person with a serious case of it can't reason their way around it, or do what seems normal to the rest of the world, like make it to court. What you're saying would be like saying about someone with cancer, well, yeah, they're sick and all, but I still can't believe they can't do all the normal things that people without cancer to do help themselves. The illness defines the inability, and esp. so with a disease that primarily affects one's BRAIN.

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.
Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

I do not think it has anything to do with post partum depression.
I think the feeding frenzy is the result of her rise to fame with little real talent and even less grasp on propriety.
I think it is a crying shame the way this has gone but the child star syndrome has kicked in with her. No one in her circle has given her any good advice or which was accepted.
The real tragedy is that a 20 year old with millions cannot figure out how to live the next 6 years without the high drama.
The further you rise the farther you fall.
Based upon my experience with children I believe I would have done a lot better job than her "handlers".
How truly funny that her mother authored a book on parenting.
The lesson for us is that celebrity is not a measure of success neither is money. No matter how many times we are told this it seems it never sinks in.

It could be post partum depression, or some type of a serious mental disorder. It's so pathetic and sad to watch her break down in front of everyone's eyes. I know she has a lot of money, and is the most famous person in the world, but if she doesn't get some help soon, we are going to see another Anna Nicole Smith or Marilyn Monroe. Does anyone really want to see that happen? She needs to start living her life in private, around people who really care about her, not people who are just leeches and only care about her money. And those two little boys... how awful for them. They live in such a strange world, they don't even know what a normal life is like. So sad...

Umm, why are you posting here if you don't care?? Actually I care because I'm a Britney fan and her behavior has been kind of crazy ever since she popped those babies out. I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it is postpartum depression. I would imagine becoming pregnant like that back to back would be enough to cut your hair off. But I like Brit and I hope she gets help.

Myself I make no judgment on Britney Spears, or Michael Jackson. I don't believe everything that I read.
All I can say that if Michale Jackson & Britney Spears was my patient, you can be assured that in my first three hour one-on-one session with them I would find out what is the root cause of their problems. And when they returned for their second visit, we would agree on the root cause of their problems and work together to resolve, and give them a quality life. (If Britney Spears has/had "PPD", her doctor should have put her on a mild tranqulizer, to get her over the this very common symptom).
(I feel that I have the right to say that as a singer, Britney Spears has not one bit of talent). An I know music as I took ten years of classical piano lessons, and I still play the piano and drums.

I felt the same exact way from the beginning. Since I am a mom and I hate being judged and lots of times doubt myself as a parent I really feel for her. She doesn't seem to have a support system.
It's amazing how the general population loves to see people f*ck up - they feed on it, it's disgusting!

So you are justifying and condoning taking drugs first of all "what celbrity doesn't".
That is total nonsense.
Let's face it Britney is a complete idiot. She made the choices that landed her in this position.
She hooked up with that ***** Federline, who is nothing but a big penis on legs aka a GIGOLO who screws girls to have thier babies so he always has a meal ticket lined up.
If he hadn't F-ed with her head in the first place she would not be in this position.
I do blame her parents firstly as they are complete idiots, none of them there for her at all.
But I blame her for being a nitwit.
Why NO ONE is blaming the media on this, is beyond me. They should be held criminally liable for what they do to her and to other celebrities.
It's a sick world, and if you can count a true friend on one hand you are doing well in this world.
Britney has totally lost it. Frankly, she is heading down the same pathway to self destruction and death that Anna Nicole did. She has hit rock bottom here.
She doesn't know how to help herself.
Everyone can speculate that it is this or it is that, but the truth is it is her entire life that has brought her to this moment in time.
For her to hold her kids hostage, lock the monitor out, ignore the courts, her lawyers etc. etc. C'mon the signs have been there for AGES and everyone ignored them. This was all just the final straw that broke the camels back.
They set her up for the fall, because people are really just sick and perverted.
What is happening to her is a tragedy but what is happening to people's compassion in this world is a mortal sin.

She could very well have PPD or bipolar what she needs is a good therapist, I hope she gets properly diagnosed & takes hers meds she also needs a life coach to guide her along in the right path.

Show me one person that supported Micheal Jackson. Brooke Shields had post-partum depression after her child, but you know what, she got help for it. Also, there is no excuse, mental illness or not, for missing a court-appointed meeting. I would think she's trying as hard as hell to get her kids back, but all her actions seem to portray the opposite.
