The 1st point. I heard in that movie nightwatch

It is easier to embrace the darkness than fight it. Which is true, not exactly due to human fault being nice is naturally harder upon yourself than being mean. You help someone and it means you are giving something up maybe your time or a possession. But this then means you are without what you have lost. Very few human beings can say they would always help someone no matter what and mean it. It is hard to be good because everyone faces the battle of light and dark.

I think it is just because darkness (evil) is just and absence of light (good) and that means there will be darkness everywhere because light cannot reach everywhere.

Sorry for the uneededly long winded speech (and i think i may be wrong)

And the perfection question, that is due to opinion. Everyone sees perfection differently so no one person can be "perfect" in everyones eyes, as not everyone likes the same thing.

I suppose they are both down to opinion. Some people may not see what they are doing as evil but as good so what you consider evil someone else may consider good or for the greater good

thats just wat i think anyway

The problem is that good and evil are subjective concepts. Some people consider dancing to be evil, others consider it to be fun. There is a strong contingent that insists that anything enjoyable has to be sinful, and as a result our common culture lists many very enjoyable and perfectly harmless things under "evil". From an objective perspective, we have a very tough time understanding why these things are bad to do because most of them are only bad in edge cases, but have been covered with the blanket "evil" stamp. This helps stupid people at everyone else's expense.

But this means that there are a lot of fun things that are considered evil, making it very, very easy to do evil things.

Being "good" to put things simply as this can be a subject as deep as the ocean implies going out of your way and making self-sacrificing efforts, or rather being selfless and having consideration for others.

Being "evil" implies shutting down your consciousness and succumbing to temptations that are totally self-indulgent.

Where it all gets complicated is because society sets norms or acceptable behaviours and many of these norms come from things like the bible, which set rules for society to live by, and even without the bible, there are some norms which society kind of expects, most governed by conscience really.

It's when behaviours with lack of concience start being considered normal that society starts getting into conflict as their very existence becomes threatened.

I think human beings NEED governance and some sort of rules and norms to live by.

I think without them, there is anarchy, which is why there is so much discord in the world today.

To much diversity and too little compassion results in too much division, hatred and intolerance.

As they say, if it aint broke don't fix it.

Problem is people think everything needs fixing these days when it was just fine as it was.

it is easy to be "evil" because evil basically is selfishness. To be "good" requires some sort of self sacrifice.

Evil is easy as it is the "natural" way (self preservation).

We find that no one is perfect because humans do not like to be "less of a person" than anyone else. Since we know ourselves (and know that we are not perfect) we find the flaws, no matter how small, in others in an attempt to show that no one is perfect and use it as an excuse to justify our own selfish actions

"For it is easier to kill the Light within oneself, than to scatter the Darkness around." But seriously, good and evil aren't absolutes, so your question is incomplete. For the sake of argument, let's take something basic like helping your neighbor carry a couch up his stairs. In the short term, the "good" act is the hard one. The "evil" act might be to tell him to suck it. Now, which is easier in the long run, having a neighbor who hates your guts or having one who'll water your plants when you're on vacation? On the other hand, maybe he's one of those types who'll constantly ask for favors once he figures you'll give in, making the "good" act a major hassle. And maybe he was going to use that couch in Satanic orphan mutilation ceremonies, so the "evil" act is really the "good" act. And then, but, however, etc.

Because there is more temptation in doing bad then their is good in this world, and as for perfection, there is too many ways to define perfection considering the world is a great melting pot of all different kinds and everyone has an opinion in their own eyes what perfection is, so therefore, perfection only exist in our imaginations.

Perfection is a myth, as unreal as God (so if God is real, he's perfect :D), it's believed as such because it doesn't matter who you are - You are always going to be capable of making mistakes.

People have this perception that good people always have some sort of terrible past or something equally 'evil' in order for them to practice Good, and tbh in many cases this would be correct - but not in cases where the individual has always been 'Good', and has always known why kindness and wisdom are important in society.

For some people, it is harder to be evil and it is easier to be Good.

The trick is finding that neutral mindset so that you can understand the causes of BOTH 'good' AND 'evil' without having to put yourself in those shoes.

And then you can act as a mediator, and help others to understand why 'Good' doesn't nessecarily contradict 'Evil'.

What would you define as perfect? That is why no one can be perfect. There is no set defintion of what that is. I think it is perfect to be 5'11" tall. But I am sure that some people think it is perfect to be 5'2". So there goes that theory. And good and evil is a similar concept. What is evil? I mean, what you are talking about is all outlined by society and you can chose whether you are going to fit into that mold or not. I certainly don't. We are all so different that good and perfect are arbitrary terms.
