There can never be 'one', as 70's Rock was such a varied spectrum. Some contenders may be :~

    FreeBird ~ Lynyrd Skynyrd

Stairway to Heaven ~ Led Zeppelin

    Rhiannon ~ Fleetwood Mac

    Hotel California ~ The Eagles

    Money ~ Pink Floyd

Sultans of Swing ~ Dire Straits

The Boys are Back in Town ~ Thin Lizzy

Funeral for A Friend-Love Lies Bleeding ~ Elton John

There was no one definitive rock song of the 70s. I personally loved Foreigners "Hot Blooded", Double Vision

I loved the Steve Miller Bands "Fly like an Eagle"

My all time favorite that I listened to the most was the Doobie Brothers "Rocking down that Highway"

Its not like today when there are so few, there was so much talented artists in the 70's that it would do them justice to name just one.
