First of all, if you plan on using the computer, you should NEVER delete any of the system 32 folder. It is full of files that are crutial to system operation. If you are cleaning out a hard drive, (or computer-if you just got it used) it would be easier to reformat the drive, and reinstall everything after backing up all the files you want.
I was cleaning up a computer that my friend found in a dumpster- and after deleting some of the system folders, I shut it down for the evening. The next day-- funny it wouldn't ever start again. As it was a windows 95 machine I could not reinstall the system. I had a paperweight!
If you are trying to get rid of a virus- let an antivirus program get rid of it as it can destinguish good between bad. Norton is not always the best choice- sometimes you need antispy/addware also.

Let me start by saying, I'm not being held responsible for any harm done to your computer. I can not stress enough how bad an idea this is; this is your operating system. If you delete this file your PC will shutdown and it literally will never be able to start up again...ever. You will have wasted money on a very expensive paperweight.
Now, to delete it open Command Prompt (it comes with your computer, don't worry) and type in "del C:\system32", "del C:\windows\system32" or "del C:\WINDOWS\system32". One of them will work, but only one so try all of them. Remember, this is the most damage you can possibly do to your computer without physically harming it. I wish you the best of luck in deleting it, unless you actually want to use the system.

Delete System32 is an ongoing trolling technique. System32 is essential to the running of most windows machines. It’s a special folder in the Windows directory. Without it, the computer would not work at all.

Lmao all you guys saying it will be a paperweigt have obviously never worked on a computer a day in your life. Even without the system32 directory, you can still access the BIOS, change the boot order to the optical drive, and use a recovery disk, installation disk and do a clean install of an OS.

For all you saying it s going to kill the PC it s not. It s only removing the files from the HDD or SDD which you can simply put in a windows disc and wipe the drive and re-install Windows. Not dead just curropted the OS on your HDD or SDD
