How does the name Leonardo sound in English?

My boyfiend and I live in Brazil, but both of us would like our son´s name to be easy to pronounce in the US. He really likes the name Leonardo. Can people in the US pronounce this name easily?

Thanks!

Update:

My boyfriend has 2 American sons, so, to him, it´s a big deal that our son´s name be easily pronounced in English. Also, it should be easily pronounced in Spanish, as he is from a Spanish-speaking country.

Thanks for all your answers!

Yes, people will easily be able to pronounce that as Leonardo is fairly common in the U.S. (and also famous Leonardos like Leonardo de Caprio or Leonardo Da Vinci)

    Congratulations on your son

Why do you want to make it sound good in the US? Are you from the US? Are you planning on moving there? I don't think it should matter how easy it is in English. The harder ones are prettier, anyways. But, Leonardo is easy to pronounce

A very familiar name in English because of Leonardo da Vinci. People will think he is smart!

Yes it is great. There is a little boy named Leonardo in my 2 year old's preschool class. He also goes by Leo.

confident, having an Anglo-sounding call ensures fulfillment considering that US voters are suckers for stereotypes. I had mine replaced to Lorenzo Lamas. Now i'm married to a fave porn megastar and have 3 condos in Las Vegas. that's what a acceptance exchange can do for you. What the ****, dude! of course you shouldn't exchange your ******* call!
