38 weeks could I be in labor?
I've been in pain for the last 2 days, I lost my mucus plug yesterday and today I started spotting (pinkinsh/brown w/ mucus)sorry tmi and I'm starting to get these back pains and period like pain. I'm just waiting till my water breaks to go to the hospital but I'm afraid I won't get to the hospital on time. I was counting how often I was feeling these contractions and they're between 5 to 10 minutes. I am going to have a natural birth and don't want to go too early to the hospital.

Just give your doc a call and see what he or she says. I wouldnt wait until your water breaks. You migh not get there in time. Just see what they say. We are all different. My daughter was almost born in the car bc I wanted to long. Dont wait to long. Good luck and Congrats:)

As long as your contractions are about 5 minutes apart and you cannot walk or talk through them, it's a good time to go to the hospital. I was induced when I had my daughter and was scheduled to go into the hospital. I was like you and wanted to have a natural birth, but once the labor contactions were getting harder and I couldn't walk or talk through them anymore... it was time to get an epidural. It's a good thing that I got it when I did too because I went from 4 to10 cms in about an hour and a half. Good luck!!

Don't wait for your water to break, it might not on its own. Call your doctor and explain the pains to them. If they feel you are ready to go to the hospital, they will tell you. Not every woman has really consistently timed contractions...

I have had 4 children and 1 on the way. all of my births the doctor had to brake my water so do not wait for that.
Give your doc a call he/she will tell you how many minutes apart you should be before you leave for the hospital.
The contraction master will help you time it accurately

My doctor always told me to go to the hospital when you were having regular contractions 7-10? mintues apart. Not everyone's water breaks on it's on so do not wait that long! If your contractions are not regular it is still concidered braxton hicks.
