Do you think the media feel we find football boring, that they have to add some drama?

Do you hate all this drama in football now days, like hearing about all the suffering some players went through during their youth? Or how they are suffering because {insert a reason here}. I don’t mean to be insensitive, I really feel for them but I think sports is a way to unwind, if I want drama I’ll go ahead and get married or watch WWE or something.

Update:

troy d: How do you figure I don't care? A little judgmental aren’t you? I can think of many other ways for fox, nbc, cbs and whoever to help make a difference in the community and it don’t involved telling stories…

I don't think they feel that we are "bored" with football, but they just want people to know more about the players they watch.

Granted, you don't mind much about the life stories of the football players, but I know several men who find it interesting, or that can relate.

For example, my brother plays college football, and he enjoys hearing about the struggles others have gone through and how they made it.

With me, I like learning more about the players, it makes me respect some of them much more, and how they had to fight to get to where they are. For example, I thought it was interesting (and sad) how that one guy on the W. Virginia team, lost both of his parents from a disease [i believe aids?] and saw his best friend get murdered. It's horrible how he went through that, and it's an interesting thing to know.

Some, don't like the life stories (like you), but hey, thats why they created TiVo, right? Just fastforward through all that fun stuff, lol.

there trying to help people who maybe in the same situations that they were in in their youths and help show them that they can make it or get through it.Just because you have never had a reason to care does not mean that other people haven't.

  • Yeah I agree I dunno whats wrong with the media but all the stupid BS they give us isn't required. Football is football and we all like it without the added drama and info. I also hate when they analyze it.
