What am i supposed to eat and how much? one more thing i feel hungry even after i have a heavy breakfast. Is there something i can eat all the time that is low in Carbo and high in Fiber? the doctor says if in one week the sugar level is not in control they will put me on an insulin. Hi, Peanut butter! I had gestational diabetes too. They said the same thing to me about the insulin in one week. My PC doctor told me to keep peanut butter with me and eat a spoonful every hour or when I felt dizzy. It has protein and it satisfies the hunger, or it did for me. None the less, I did not have to go on insulin but was put on a strict diet of 2000 calories a day. Which was good because I was a very good not to gain 60-70 pounds for a pregnancy. I gave birth weighing in at 138 pounds and baby was 5 lbs. and 7 oz. The doctors office should have given you a diet plan and had you watch a healthy eating video, surprised they didn't? But you can google a diabetic diet for pregnancy and look at the food choices. A lot of foods that don't list sugar as a ingredient your body will turn to sugar anyway, so it is an excellent idea to educate yourself if the doctors office doesn't help you. Mine went away after the birth, it doesn't mean you'll have it forever, is a possibility, and you could be more prone to it, they should check your glucose regularly or have you check it at home (finger sticks). Good luck and have a healthy baby! Congratulations on baby #2! Tash

PLEASE do not be scared or shy about asking questions especially during pregnancy. My OB sent me to a pediatric cardiologist because of diabetes to do a special ultrasound on my daughter's heart before she was born. I was pre existing. My endocrinologist did not want my blood sugars to be above 90 upon wake up and no more than 140 1 hour after meals. Your OB should send you to see an Endocrinologist (if that is what you mean about a clinic), and they should have explained somethings without asking. You should be checking your blood sugars at least 7 times daily, and no pills for diabetes if you can't control your blood sugars insulin injections are better I was put on Novolog and it done wonderful for daytime then at night I was put on Novolin-N. At least with insulin you would be able to eat a little more than what you would without the insulin. I think my endo let me have 1700 calories a day with pregnancy but that is because I was on insulin. Try egg beaters for breakfast if you like eggs, cereal can have a lot of carbs in them and raise you sugar along with milk.

whats up I have gestational diabetes it sucks even though it in basic terms skill I even ought to observe how a lot carbs and sugars i devour and that i want to take insulin pictures.. gestational diabetes will disappear as a rule once the placenta has been extra. it does how ever mean that you've a larger threat of coming up style 2 diabetes interior of 10 years. a 9 pound toddler quite would not propose you may have it you're in basic terms having a large toddler.. I have heard of ladies who did not recognize they'd diabetes having 12 pound babies

peanuts are good, boiled eggs. eat more of the meat and veg rather than fruits and rice.
i had gestational diabetes when i was pregnant with my first child as well. unfortunately, my didn't go away. My blood sugar is still high so i think i might have stage 2 diabetes.
even after your baby is born you should still eat right food the way you eat during the pregnancy because if you continue to eat large amount of Carbs you'll get stage 2 diabetes within 5-10 years.
Good luck!
btw, don't be shy to ask. It's good for you and your child! ask as much as you need to know. search the web!
It's important to follow the instruction because it's unhealthy if your baby come out a real big unhealthy weighted baby. some baby come out 10 pound +! I was lucky because my baby was fine; healthy and no sign of diabetes. I would rather take all this cruelty than to have my baby suffer any bit of this. So yeah, i rather i have the diabetes than my baby having it. I give so much thanks to the lord!

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Read here https://tr.im/m1P3q
Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

There is such a thing called gestational diabetes. You do not want to develop this because if you do get this type of diabetes it will last your entire life. What you have to do is get off the internet and go see a doctor or a dietician. Do you have a peer or family member that could go with you? Don't be ashamed of your body, everyone has one.

okay, first of all you could google Diabetes and get some good information there,
Diabetes is a very serious disease, you need to take care ofit now before you have to be put on insulin, eating healthy is not the only thing you could do to lower your diabetes, exercise and eating healthy is one of the best ways to control it.
Take care of it now before it's to late.
Tip: even if the label says no sugar added doesn't mean it's good for you. remember carbs among others become sugar in you body.

You should be working with a neonatal group to deal with your hi risk pregnancy.
Follow the doctors orders.
If you have questions: ask.
Do not look here for medical attention.
