I'm not sure in what part of the country you live, but if it is very cold outside and your dog absolutely needs a bath, I would blow dry the puplet before I would let him/her outside. Let me ask you a question, would you go outside with wet hair if it was very cold outside? You could also let the doggie outside for his/her last visit to the garden for the night and then do the bathing.

Yes it is okay any time of the year to bathe a dog, just make sure is totally dry and keep warm till chill is off the dog..

Yes, it's fine. Just make sure you keep the dog indoors and warm until it is completely dry - this usually takes a few hours.
Why don't you bathe him just after he has visited the garden. He shouldn't need to go again for a couple of hours afterwards.

Hi it is rather cold and I would do it, I just stick my dog in the bath and but the shower on him. Making sure its not to hot for him, wash him with his doggy shampoo and then hes all dont, all you have to do then is clean the bath well and there you go, both happy and clean and dog with no chill.
And my dog is a labradour cross, might be better to get someone to lift him in the bath, if he wont get in himself, as if you dog is big it takes ages to life him and get him in well it does for me any way.
If you dont want to put him in you bath then you can always get dog wipes from pets at home and wilkinsons a bit pricey £3.99 for 10 but there quite big so you wont need a lot. This will do him till summer comes.

Yes! I gave my dog a bath earlier, although I have turned the heating up a bit for her! I had to give her a bath as she made her first classic dog mistake today (she is only 5 months!) on her walk she jumped into a muddy rain filled ditch! Because it had weeds and stuff floating on it she though it was part of the field!!!!! The look of shock on her face as she went into the water was priceless, bless her!!

You can bathe your dog, but make sure to dry him very well after to make sure that he is not still wet. You just don't want him outside in the cold while his fur is still wet or damp. if you can afford it a groomer can do this for you, this is also easier if he is big. You can request that the groomer only bathe and dry him or you can request additional things like a cut or clipping his nails.

You can give your dog a bath and use hairdryer to dry his coat, he won't catch a chill that way unless he gets dry straight away after his bath

Yes, as long as he's dry before he goes out. I usually let my dog out right before I bathe him, and I bathe him pretty late in the evening so he goes to sleep and doesn't want to go outside.

i think its ok, cuz i hav a dog and i bathe him, jus use warm water and when ur done bathing him, dry him off really well, i mean spend a lot of time drying him off cuz its liek humans, if ur cold and u wear wet clothes, of course ur gonna get sick and catch a chill, jus make sure he's pretty mch dry when ur done wiping him off and afterwards it might be pretty good for ur dog to spend some time inside, like inside ur house, where its all warm, lol

I would think it should be fine, i expect he's quite intetlligent, if it's too cold for him outside after a bath he wont bother going out he'll stay in by the fire LOL!
