i think that college athletes are getting the greatest pay they will ever get a free education. i think that is enough plus they get whatever they want from who ever they want it from they are treated like gods on and off campas. so no they shouldnt get paid

I think it is wrong, if they are paid by the University or by the Government. They already benefit, they can study at an excellent College, not because they are great students, but simply because they are great athletes. If they receive some money from another source than the University or the Government, I have no objections. This is not money from the tax payer. I am Belgian, Two twin brothers from Belgium (Jonathan and Kevin Borlée) study at the "Florida State University". They both ran under 45 seconds at the 400 m. They were both part of the team of this University, that won the 4 x 400 relay at the NCAA championships in 2' 59" 99. They also won a bronze medal for Belgium at the European Championships in the same relay this year. Kevin won gold in the individual 400 m. If they earn some money in an international meeting, I do not object. They take their study seriously and also have to train a lot. They also gave a lot to Belgium and the University in the USA.

  • College athletes shouldn't be paid. In addition to a free education and sports equipment, they usually receive extra money to spend on food and stuff like that.

a tuition to college is payment enough I would think. I don't even think pro-athletes should be paid mulit-millions. Maybe there could be some minor hazard pay for college athletes in case they miss something because of injury, but nothing more than that.
