How fast does AAA respond to calls?
I'm thinking about enrolling for roadside assistance but wondering if they're any good or not. How long did it take them to respond to YOUR call when you needed them? did they do anything tricky when they responded like arrive and say "o I cant change your flat tire b/c of <insert stupid reason>"

I LOVEDAAA!!!
I am infamous for locking my keys in my car, and having car problems in general. Anytime I've called they were there in 20 minutes, tops. It is a worthwhile investment.
The only downside I had was there is a limit to how many times they'll assist you based on which level you pay for. Take an inventory about how often you would have used it in the last year before you sign up for a membership level.

I had to call them a couple of weeks ago to give me a jump for a dead battery...the guy was there in about 10 minutes (this is unusually quick) BUT, usually it takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on whether you need a tow truck or not (they give you an ETA when you call them).
I've been with AAA for many years and their roadside service can't be beat....JOIN THEM.

I had AAA when I lived in Michigan for about a year. I had at that time a beat up ragged out clunker that was junk junk junk. Needless to say , I was always breaking down and always calling a tow truck . I got , what I call perfect service. It didn't matter who's car it was , my car or your car or Joe Blow's car . If I called them , they came and they towed . I used them so much that they sent me all kinds of mail telling me about how to fix my car. They were great . I'd give them an A+

It depends on the time of day, and how busy they are...
They usually tell you how long it will take when you call anyway.

No, they normally arrive very quickly. It depends on where you're stranded though. Don't purchase the auto insurance though!
