I'm tired of seeing unproven overmatched big 10 teams in title game.. anyone else?
I propose higher criteria for title games.. like maybe beating a top 25 team .. and maybe actually winning a conference championship game? No big 10 team should play for title until the conference gets a title game

yea i agree 100% with you.. any conference that doesn't have a title game...
but isn't this funny all the Espn guys before the game choose Ohio state and only one choose LSU.

As of right now, I like PSU. They were a good team this season and it appears they will be returning most of the team. They'll lose their starting QB and running back but they return all their receivers and the entire offensive line, not to mention this season's backup RB split time with the starter, so he's got plenty of quality minutes under his belt and he looks like he could be a stud back next season. The defense might only lose AA LB Dan Connor, but they'll replace him with Sean Lee who should be an All American next season. They also return their kicker and the Big 10's top punter. They will have what it takes to win in the Big 10 and I should think that many will list them as a Big 10 favorite, if not a favorite to compete for the national title. Michigan losses too much. They lose their top O-lineman, running back, QB, head coach, receiver...and I can probably go on. They'll be good, but it'll be a bit of a rebuilding year. Illinois will again be a good year, but they're losing a very good running back, so they could lose the balance they had on offense. Ohio State could be looking at losing a vast majority of this year's team to the draft. It looks as though they'll lose all 3 LB's and their top D-lineman and their best corner. Not to mention half their offensive line, possibly their QB and their #1 receiver. All-in-all, they are just losing too much to win again.

I agree they should have a confrence championship because it would be interesting, but other than that the big ten is a power house confrence who has been struggling. But even though they lost last year how can you deny getting to back to back national championships and winning one in 2003, and i dont even like OSU. but with Wisconson, MIchigan and Illinois, these are solid teams.
Also what does beating a top 25 team have to do with anything? the top 25 changed so much this year that beating someone in it and qualifying for a bowl game would be ridiculous.
i agree with mark

Buckeyes won their conference . Pac 10 doesn't have a conference title game so I guess USC is eliminated also. West Virginia handled Oklahoma yet they don't have a conference title game you just eliminated them. LSU lost to Arkansas, and Arkansas was crushed by Missouri. I am tired of fans who just run off at the mouth.
