Why when you live in a apartment for many years the rent keeps increasing?

Shouldn't they be decreasing the rent instead of increasing because you live there for so many years.

Why? The property tax goes up and up. The apartment should at least pay for itself. Also, the cost of living goes up every year, they could just as easily rent to a new tenant for more money.

He ought to double it, yet you would probably go away and no human being else will be prepared to pay it both. there is no reduce on how a lot the owner can ask, and clearly no requirement that you stay there and pay it. in case you could't agree on a cost, search for yet another position. transferring is a soreness, for sure. it truly is why the owner can improve the employ steadily and recognize you'll pay it. on the different hand, kicking someone out of a progression is likewise a soreness, so the owner has some incentive to compromise. in case you stay in an area with employ administration or stabilization there are guidelines that reduce employ will improve, even though it would not sound like it truly is what you're asking.

The price to maintain the apartment, plus taxes and other things. Renting should only be temporary, saving in the meantime to purchase your own home which is an appreciating asset unlike an apartment.

My goodness. Using your logic, rent should be FREE if the owner happens to inherit the building for no cost.

The reality of the rental business is to make a PROFIT. That's what raising the rents is all about.
