Powerpoint cant read the outline. No text converter installed.?
I downloaded a powerpoint presentation from the internet. however, when in try to open it, this dialog box appears:
"Powerpoint cant read the outline. No text converter installed."
how do i fix this problem? Need your help badly.

It didn't get me anywhere becasue I'm pretty sure the file I am working with is corrupt, but this is a nice run down of steps to try:

Are you trying to open a PPT 2007 file in PPT 2003? Maybe you need to
download the compatibility pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...3-c6bb74cd1...
Make sure you have all the Windows/office updates installed first.
