Gaming With PCI?

I have a Motherboard with only pci slots right. I have a really good pci video card but it sucks when coming to play cod4. I want to be able to play with good gfx and smooth gameplay. What should i do? get a new mobo? whole new pc? im crushed i dunno what to do. My socket is 478

    Well, if you really want better performance here's what i would do. Go to tigerdirect.com and buy one of the mobo/cpu combos for like 100 bucks, then buy a agp budget card. Because even if you do get a new mobo, more than likely your processor is out of date too and your gaming is still gonna suck. Also, if cod4 sucks now and you stick with your current system, imagine how bad cod5 is going to be...

    If there is no ATI or PCI Express slot then your only option is a new motherboard, but that also means getting a new XP license and reinstalling EVERYTHING. There are some pretty fast PCI cards so I would try that, but without a faster processor an expensive GPU might be a waste of $$.
