Google a site called Second Hand Songs, then get to asking about your songs.
Wikipedia is also helpful with the more famous songs being covered.

Hi Barry m. Almost every band I know has done a cover version of something or other. From Aerosmith doing Wild horses to ZZ Top doing sweet home Alabama. It would probably be easier to try and find a band that hasn't done a cover.

Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies has done alot of covers.... They're a punk/ska band, but the songs they do are cover's nonetheless, song like I believe I can fly, fire and rain, somewhere over the rainbow, etc.

The Temptations covered a couple of Franki Valli songs
McFly did Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now"
Someone (don't remember who...Gym Class Heroes? i dunno, i'd never heard of them) did a sort of remix to Supertramp's "Breakfast In America"
Rufus Wainright did the Beatle's "Across the Universe"
