Good laptop for recording music?
Im looking for a new laptop that will be good for recording music on and im trying to stay away from mac's (i dont really like them). Can you guys give me any suggestions? thanks

Try Dell xps m1530 or something from HP or Sony.
Macs are good too.

Any core2duo will do, doesn't have to be a mac. I record music with an old centrino and play 5 virtual instruments at church with it and it's never let me down. So save the money of the mac for great software like sonar or sampletank.

You may not like Macs but as far as music is concerned everyone is starting to use them You are starting to see them on stage more and more. You may have to bite the bullet to get the results you want.
