Tevion Elite mp3 player - Help!!!?

Anyone else have a Tevion Elite mp3 player and know what the hell could be wrong with mine?? When I try to play a track, it does seem to start but before the time measures 1 second the song cuts out and the mp3 player returns to the title screen.

I've checked the tracks through the pc so the files are fine, the mp3 player just won't play them. not for as long as a whole second anyway.

The radio in it is playing fine. Anyone have any ideas or is it just completely busted?
