How can I trun off the balloons that appear in the task of windows?

I use X-Setup Pro Version 6.6. to disable Balloon Tips. There's a newer version at:

To increase the width of the Quick Launch area, right-click on the taskbar and uncheck the "Lock the Task Bar" box.

Once you unlock the taskbar, a small size bar will appear at the right end of the quick launch bar. You can then click and drag the size bar to make your quick launch area bigger.

youcan't stop balloons, instead try the hide option.

Start>Contol Panel>Taskbar and Start Menu

under the Taskbar tab, click at the bottom, "hide inactive icons" select your settings, and click OK.

as for Quicklaunch, you can add icons, just drag them there.

select the icon you want, press and hold the left mouse button, and hold it over the Quicklauch area of the Taskbar

to alter the order of the present icons on taskbar- drag and swap the icons. To delete an present icon precise click on the icon and decide Delete from the popup menu. to characteristic a clean icon- drag the hot application icon to the activity bar. To rename an icon -precise click on the icon and decide Rename from the pop up menu. enter the needed call.
