Seriously, NEVER learn to drive stick with your boyfriend, husband, significant other etc...
It won't work. You'll just end up in a huge argument over it and you won't learn anyway.
I speak from personal experience!!! Also from the stories from a lot of my girlfriends. Get a girlfriend or a professional instructor to teach you!

Maybe he is worried about the BMW. They are expensive to repair. Learn to drive stick with a cheaper car.

j/k ~ If I had a car with a stick shift I'd let you learn on that. Neither of my vehicles are worth the gas in their tanks tho.
