    What are you asking?

I highly doubt you have this - the chances are tiny. But it's best to take some precautions, so run a few scans - ad-aware, AVG Free, rootkit revealer, etc.

So how do we go about protecting ourselves from this rootkit. I read the data in the article, but am unsure how to detect this, and what do I do if I have it?

Wow, the Russians are always up to something. i live in the USA, so I guess I'm not as vulnerable, but I'll keep sharp. I've ran a scan and nothing showed. EVERYONE, RUN AN ANTI-SPYWARE SCAN NOW!!!!!
