your talking a new window motor and you can figure at least $150 to do the job maybe more if the regulator can't be seperated from the motor.

Try this before you try repairing it. It sounds like the window channels may be dry. Get some spray cylicon lube and spray the cloth guides on both sides of the window. If this doesn't stop the noise, you will need to take the inside door panel off and see if the window is loose from the tract. If it is, there should be a clip or series of screws holding it in place and they will need to be tightened. Make sure to put a dab of grease on the window crank for smoother operation. It could also be the window motor wearing out. In this case I would take it to a mechanic and let them do it. It's too much to try to explain on here.

$250 typically for a new motor installation. Try banging on the inside middle of the driver's door panel with your fist while holding the up/down button to jar the motor into operation.
