Why is my brother a redneck?
He has a redneck/hillbilly type of accent and says things like "That car runs like a scalded dog!" or "That guys as worthless as t!ts on a boar hog!" He's never even seen a live pig as far as I know, let alone a "boar hog".
The rest of my family doesn't talk like that! I'm confused about where he learned to be such an idiot.
Oh, and he has a skullet. And sometimes beats his girlfriends ***. I'm so ashamed. So ashamed.

It sounds like this person is trying to be something that they think is cool. It hurts society so much that this redneck thing is glamorized and sensationalized by television and music - it is nothing to be proud of.
A redneck is nothing you want to be, I don't understand why anybody would want to be stupid, uneducated, dirty, poor, jobless, and possibly inbred - what is so great about all that?
Ignore such redneck behavior, and treat them well when they do not make the unwanted behavior. This rewards only the desired behaviors, making the person more likely to make the desired behavior in the future.
