It depends on the situation, but allowing it to rise a bit longer isn't usually the best option. If you're anything like me you will just bottle up feelings and then explode at some point in the future making people think you have gone mad. They then won't take your opinion seriously. Better to deal with things now, in a calm manner, before things get out of hand. At least then you will be taken seriously and not treated like you have flipped.

If you leave it to keep rising, it will keep on rising and will never go away. Sort the rising out, so that you can get rid of it and then you won't have to worry about it anymore. Some things just don't go away on its own!!

Beware thou if ye let it keep on rising!!!! It can get gnarly and the situation might get oot of hand anyway!!! If this occurs, jump on quickly and bounce it intae submission or till its well sick of the whole debacle:) x

You should definately deal with it. Bigger problems often take much too long to deal with, and it is getting late.

And at least you would know exactly how to handle it, the next time a huge problem arises.
