Playing PS 3 Blu-Ray disc in HD 1080 problem?
I have a mitsubishi ws55315 hd 1080 big screen.
I have a PS 3 hooked to it via component cables , which are supposed to support 1080 but I can't get nothing but 480i , what is the problem as I am fed up with it. PLEASE HELP
P.S. I am trying to play Blu-Ray Disc.

Using component cables, be sure you are connected to the DTV input on your TV and configure it to Y pB pR instead of RGBHV. This is the only way to do what you want on that model TV. The component inputs have a 480 line limit.

Playing a blu-ray in 1080i should work over component cables. I did it with my roomate's ps3 and tv......check the display settings in the ps3 and make sure it is set to component/1080i.

Ok you are going to have to check the settings on your ps 3. That model tv cannot accept 720P or 1080P outputs so set it to 1080i and you should be set to go.
