Who misses Cliff Burton?

He is my hero and Metallica has never been the same since he died. I idolize him. I try to play bass with the same style he does. I wish he had never died.

R.I.P. Cliff

I do - my morning ritual for the last 2 weeks has been playing "Anesthesia - pulling teeth" followed by "Whiplash" while driving to work.

The best part for me, was seeing him live when Metallica was the opener for Ozzy's "Ultimate Sin" Tour....

AH! Finally a great question. Yes. Cliff Burton WAS Metallica. Metallica aint the same anymore. Great bassist.

Metallica hasn't been the same since.

Sure, "Justice" had potential, but the horrible drum sound and the "prank" of cutting all of the bass out the mix made for a pathetic sound.

confident he replaced into dazzling. although i like Newsted he isn't any the place close to almost as good a musician as Cliff replaced into. Plus i think of i Cliff replaced into interior the band they nevere might have long previous down the Bob Rock direction that they did. He had too plenty integrity to sell out like that

Yeah, I miss him. I liked Newsted alot, too. But I think Cliff would have left the band at some point anyway. Or at the very least, they would have not released an album of "St. Anger"'s absolutely vile caliber. Yeck!
