A hole was knocked on interior wall, and now there is cold air pouring in. Any ideas?

The hole is in the center of my house. I have a crawl space and a normally vented attic. It almost feels like wind. However when I get into the attic I can't see any place for the air to be moving into the wall. I have yet to get under the house. However I'm sure I'll find the same thing.

It might be a plumbing hole in the bottom plate in between the studs. That will let air draft-up through the stud cavity, like a chimney, and out the hole. Plumbers and electricians drill lots of holes in the bottom plates and sure don't take the time to plug them if they don't use them.

I'm with jana, probably a whole from plumbing or electric that wasn't plugged or sealed properly - as they rarely are.

If you can get to the source, use spray form to seal the area. It is cheap. Use the whole can.
