hollow aluminum handled walking cane?

approx. 36inches long, shaft is thickness of thumb, i.e, very thin. handle is unpolished alluminum and hollow. Trying to identify purpose and see if others are around. From walking about the house and outside, I would say its not meant for being used as an actual walking cane, more than likely a novelty item, but I could be wrong. Has anyone found or seen a similar cane?

Update:

the handle is all that is aluminum (forgive questionable spelling) the shaft is wooden and has some writing on it..... something ending with *alemite* , then in smaller letters *before you buy it*

These are for walking. They are hollow to make them light enough to carry. Aluminum is much stronger than wood so it can be thinner.

Not a novelty item. It is very effective in its use, plus it is lightweight which makes it even more attractive to the user.

My grandma had one..i believe its medically issued. There may have been a grip on it that came off, sometimes we had to replace the foot on it too.
