Looking for info on PCI express x8 video card?
I bought my new PC with a very good idea of what I wanted and needed. Except I over looked one tiny detail that seems to be a big problem.
I made sure that it had a PCI-e slot but failed to notice the (x8) in the online documentation. Now I can't seem to actually find a video card to add to it.
Does anyone know of a decent video card that will work?

Any PCI-E 16x card will work only it will run at 8x speed & you will never know the differance. I have an ATI X850XT PE16x running on a crappy Gigabyte motherboard at 4x & it runs any game I throw at it just fine! NO PROBLEM!

uhm, im not sure but usually if you buy any PCI-E card it will work at the speed of ur mobo, so even if the card supports x16, it will work a x8 because thats the only speed that the mobo supports.

currently they are making pcie 1x video cards, but its just a little bit faster than a pci (a little faster than evga pci 6200 geforce). so getting pci would be the same thing.
