Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre of Perm?
I am seeing Tchaikovsky's Mazeppa by this company at BAM tonight. It will be third time I'm seeing this Opera ,Once at the Met and once by the Kirov at the Met ,both times conducted by Gergiev. I love the opera but no nothing of this company, or even the city of Perm where they come from. Does anyone know them?? There has been almost no publicity for this engagement or their concert at Carnegie Hall this week-end. Has anyone heard of them?

I saw the ballet company from Perm in about 2001. They were really excellent when I saw them - and quite young. Perm has a leading ballet school. It's ashame there has been scant publicity for your event but I'm sure you will enjoy it immensely.
