How soon after this next election do you think we will be out of Iraq?
Depending on which leading candidate is elected
I agree. I'd like to be out asap, but even if we started pulling out the day the new president was in, it would take a long process of AT LEAST 6 months +. That's why we shouldn't have gotten involved in this mess at all.

John McCain - At least another 10 years of occupation. He is a big bush supporter.
Hillary Clinton - 1 year, which will completely destabilize the middle east and probably send Iran and Turkey to war over who gets to own Iraq.
Barack Obama - Probably 4-5 years. He has a slower withdrawal plan which is smart and gives Iraq the best chance to make it on their own.
The rest of the candidates - aren't going to be in the election so who cares

There will be American Troops in Iraq for several years to make sure that Iran and the AlQaida Terrorists DO NOT get a foothold in that country
and also in Afghanistan.

We are in Iraq for the long haul, regardless of who is President and what they say. That country would completely fall apart if we were to leave and every politician knows that.

Hello. My friend we will never get pulled out of Iraq. Soldiers will leave and soldiers will go.That is because if we leave the Iraq force will take back and come to the U.S. So our soldiers are blocking them in a way.

I dont see it happening since the USA is building 5 permanent bases in Iraq..Even if he/she decided to leave then it would take several years..Also why would the enemy continue fighting now if we were going to leave.? Simple answer, because we are not..Why dont they just wait for the next POTUS and they will claim victory? Sounds stupid doesnt it..We are not going anywhere, regardless of who is in office.

Those who think they be out in 30 days don't have a clue.
After they are sworn in and brief on what is going on they will change their minds.

I don't think we will be out of Iraq completely . . . I think they are all selling fairy tales . . .I do think we will draw down troops but not a complete withdrawal.
