Slainté (to your health)

Update:

LOL,, I hey I think the beer & wine are fine too.

NO you are not "DEAD" now but you may be choosing to die earlier than you need too & by some awful disease.

Update 2:

Micheal H: LOL, I hey I think the beer & wine are fine too. You know you are the exception, just reading Y/A shows you that.

KM: NO you are not "DEAD" now but you may be choosing to die earlier than you need too & by some awful disease.

Update 3:

COOL MAMA: A Raw Diet is 85% Raw Foods & 15% Cooked that covers those things that you describe. Example I don't eat raw potatoes, or uncooked Brown Rice. But ideally those things are not your mainstay. Fresh, RAW Fruits, Veggies & Nuts are.

Update 5:

JEZEBEL: I was laughing with Miheal h on beer. I personally do not drink There are many 100% Raw Foodist, but OFFICALLY Raw is 75% or more. When I got into RAW last May I thought the same thing but with study & seeing Raw Speakers, reading RAW Books I found that the term included even up to 25% cooked food. I use the the number 15% but I rarely eat more than 1 item a day cooked. Hallelujah Acres is considered a RAW diet by their 85/15 ratio. So call me mis-informed if you please but that does not make it so.

Update 6:

Xusuerx20: And so you will.

Update 7:

Great Answers happening here. Luv the input. I thought the "clip" was fun, certainly made to get your attention.

Thanks for all the info on this. I've actually been doing some reading on raw foodism too, and it's something I'm considering for my self. I still haven't made the transition, but I have started consuming lots of vegetable and fruit juices, and more salads. Eventually I want to start eating at least 75% raw, and maybe even 100% for a while. It only makes sense that live food would be healthier.

BTW I always find your answers very informative, so thanks for that too!

My diet is about 25% raw, at the moment. Sometimes more, some times less. ALL of my fruit is raw, unprocessed stuff.

I tried doing just raw for about a week and my blood sugar kept crashing. Hypoglycemia sucks. Other than the mass blood sugar drop offs, I had no issues and I felt marginally better.

Beer is not raw. And a raw foodist doesn't eat "15% cooked food". A raw foodist doesn't eat cooked food. That's the point of being raw. Someone who is high raw might. Obviously the more raw produce you eat the better, but it doesn't make you a raw foodist, kind of like cutting back meat consumption is great, but it doesn't make you vegetarian.

I'm saying this as someone who has been raw in the past and who still dabbles in it off and on. I apologize but I find ignorance and misinformation about raw as bad as ignorance regarding vegetarianism/veganism.

trainspotting was a good movie. what are we talking about again? oh yeah. raw food is good too sometimes. but in a different way than trainspotting.

Did that first guy dye his hair or did that happen with the diet?

That video cracks me up. Especially the "raw" concert.

That is interesting. I do like several things better raw than cooked, but still some things must be cooked to taste good

"dieting, pills, lotions, injections and plastic surgery JUST DONT WORK"

The video says this, i agree.

It also cites people who are obviously very ill in the first place.

It also talks about loosing weight and people who eat processed food.

Is there something that shows it'll be an advantage for a veggie on a decent diet with no health problems already ?

I'd be happy to consider this, but don't recognise myself in the examples of people they use.

Great idea though, always happy to see this stuff, thanks for the suggestion.

what do i do with the AGA ?

and my real concern.... can i still drink the pint of beer thats sat in front of me ?

    cheers !!

I am going to be all raw, eventually. But 100%. No cooked food is healthy.

Of course you are going to look and feel bad eating fast food and junk everyday. But just because I like my potatoes and chicken cooked doesn't actually mean I'm dead, does it?

I think this guys is right. But I personally couldn't do it. I like to cook my potatoes, bread, and pasta. I couldn't do it.
