How come Google maps for Israel shows no cities, roads or highways?

But, if you look at 'Satellite' mode, you can clearly see the cities, roads and airport. Is this some sort of conspiracy?

    Because they probably don't have accurate maps of the country

    Or that Google is owned by Palestinians

    I noticed that myself.

    Beforehand, they did have road maps, though it wasn't very comprehensive. Now, it appears to be missing entirely.

    My guess is that they are updating their mapping system and are waiting for more comprehensive details of that region. Perhaps there are some legal issues that need to be resolved.

    Maybe you should try using Google Earth..The latest version is 4.2.Having the latest helps..
