Question for Vista users...?

Does anyone else miss the little hourglass? What's with that circle, what do circles have to do with computers? I liked the hourglass, an ancient manner of measuring time, being associated with a medium that boasts being constantly at the cuttign edge.

How does everyone else feel? Do you think the circle is more modern and relevant? Or do you miss the hourglass too?

ah you can use the hour glass again, just right click anywhere on your desktop, choose personalize, then mouse pointers, then the pointers tab and have your pic.

the circle is windows aero which would probably be the first thing you'll see when you try to change it

I'm on vista and I like the blue circle perfectly fine, but I love your view on why the hourglass was there!

If you want to change it back to the hourglass you can do it with the Mouse options which you can find from the Start menu of course

uh.. i just liked the circle thing cuz it looked different and kinda cool. the hourglass was ok. you can change that in your settings though if you miss it so much. the circle though is a lot more colorful. not sure about its relevancy to time or waiting. just that it moves at least to tell me the computer hasnt froze or sometihng.

    I don't know.

    I don't remember the hourglass...

    I like the circle.

I like Vista in general (and the circle thing) because it all looks so flexible and flowing like it can do anything. Do you get what I mean???

The other system I had looked so bold. So just set. Nothing to change.

    I'm probably scaring...

    Hope you understood this!!!

nicely, the significant grievance I frequently get from greater severe human beings is performence. To me, you elect at minimum 4GB of ram to truly appreciate Vista. i in my opinion nevertheless use XP, because of fact i've got been using it for years and that i'm not yet waiting to alter. i could flow directly to W7. yet yea, the significant reason i could be going to Vista could be DX10 (or perhaps there, dx10 seems greater beneficial even with the undeniable fact that it is much less performent than dx9) and 64bit (because of fact xp64bit is amazingly risky and not tweaked adequate to run completely). different than that, extremely some the different issues human beings whinge approximately would be disable. nevertheless, I gotta admit it, if I ever swap to Vista, i'm going to would desire to placed couple days to get it working like i like it to. first element I DO, disable UAC. Then disable each and all the flamboyant outcomes and skins. And from there on, fairly lots removing each and all the ram sucking stuff. I gotta admit even with the shown fact that, I havn't performed with Vista THAT lots even with the shown fact that. My brother has it and that i'm consistently assisting him whilst he has issues (considering that I do workstation help), so i be conscious of somewhat approximately it. yet in spite of this, i think I frequently see the irritating stuff (Having to run each and every little thing in Administrator, disable uac for each little thing, classes having get admission to difficulty, community having get admission to difficulty, and a lot of secure practices issues.) i think it extremely is the significant element with Vista. it is attempting to be thank you to preserve. Atleast for me. in my opinion, i've got been working no anti-virus, anti-undercover agent ware or firewall for the previous 2 years, in XP, and that i had no difficulty. So i don't see why i could choose greater beneficial secure practices... Ofcourse, from what I see in those boards, alot of human beings consistently have secure practices issues, and that i think it is reliable for them. and likewise like I stated, those form of would be configured. So yeah, end, Vista isn't that undesirable once you're taking it gradual to configure it. yet that takes some staying power ;)
