Wimbledon is the obvious favourite of not only most people but of most players on tour. Wimbledon is so recognised not only because of its history as the oldest grand slam, but also it's the time of year when most players are in top form. I heard the commentators talkin about why Agassi was so successful at the Aussie Open and the reason for that is because since it's so early in the year players may still not be able to attend the event being 100% fit even though they may not admit it but that's why Agassi was able to dominate due to his fitness (winning it 4 times). And the history of the Aussie Open again isn't very good since back in the old days alot of players actually skipped the tournament because they really didn't see it worth while. So i guess if you look at history, Wimbledon is more prestigious (actually the most prestigious). Wimbledon is where players are at their best and even though now at the Aussie Open no one skips it anymore, after an off season players maybe still a little bit unmotivated and unfocused. While at Wimbledon players are fully focused due to it being later in the year after players have had some matches under their belt. Well that's what i think...hope this makes your day...take care!

Wimbeldon. I'm not sure why Australia even gets to host a grand slam, I'm sure someone who knows will set me straight. But there is nothing like Wimbeldon, no offence to Australia the country.

Aussie open. Kick starts the year. Wimbeldon used to be excellent when they had a "real" grass court. Now you can't serve and volley any better there than you can on a hard court.

Aussie Open.
Why?
Because I live in Melbourne, Australia and it's close so I can go watch a couple of matches.
Because it starts off the Grand Slam year with everyone anticipating it.
Sure....in the last couple of years it might have gotten a bad name with the Croat/Serb riot and now the spray incident but if you come down and visit, you will see it's not that bad.

The Australian Open of course because many legends start their runs there.Wimbledon is on grass so the form doesn't stack up elsewhere.

oh i like wimbledon much better.. because there is only one grass court slam, i think they should have left the court to be as fast as it used to be... i believe they employed heavier balls to slow it down a bit... wimbledon is awesome, i like grass court tennis....
the crowd can be a bit snoobish and dull though... that is the drawback, and with it always raining and screwing up delaying matches, this can mess up peoples games and rythms... some players blame there loss on the rain because they could not get back into the rythm of there match... it can be unforunate at wimbledon..
