Do the Tarheels Deserve to be #1?

Yes and No. Yes because they have power down low to points on the board and have good shooting from their guards which puts together a perfect team and are undefeated. No because they barely got past Georgia Tech by 1 point and have barely escaped by some other teams which doesnt seem to be a number 1 team.But who else would be number 1.

They definitely deserve to be number 1! They have good post play in tyler. Who does a great job drawing fouls not because the refs favor him but because he knows how to use his body and put himself into correct positioning relative to the defense and the hoop. They also have great guard play and can get up and down the court very quickly. They may have won a few close ones but they still won! They will beat you somehow.

Yes, when they play their best, they can beat anyone. Besides GT gave Kansas and Indiana a hard time and Clemson is #19, they are not a cup cake.

They deserve to be #1 because of their depth and determination. However, I will always hold my stance that Tyler Hansbrough is NOT as good as advertised. If he didn't get as many foul calls because of his reputation as he does then his production would suffer. You'll see the effect of that when he benchwarms in the NBA.
