Double diapering-hip dysplasia?

Any of you ever have to or know anyone who had to double or triple diaper your newborn because of hip dysplasia-or hip sublexaton(sp)? I have to double diaper my son & was wondering if anyone else had to & what was the outcome of it -did it go away or did your child need a brace or anything?

My sister had a baby Nov.24 and she had to do this! She double diapered him and when she went back a few weeks later they told her she could stop b/c it had been corrected! Just stay on top of the double siapering and follow their directions perfectly and hopefully your baby will be just fine!

My son has hip dysplasia, but I've never had to double diaper him because of it. My son had a brace for his hips when he was a baby, but it was decided that it didn't help since he has very low muscle tone in his lower body due to spina bifida. The doctor said since it isn't causing any problems they won't perform surgery to correct it since it would come back out due to the low muscle tone.

Your son should been seeing an orthopaedic doctor who can decide what to do in your sons case.
