For those of you who report abuse...?
Have you seen the system respond immediately? Particularly on answers with vulgar language.
I generally don't report abuse. But the language does bug me and I will occasionally admit to reporting it. Recently, I reported an answer it it was removed immediately. I was surprised because I have never seen it do that before. Any guesses as to the fast response?
sorry about the double it there... oops.

Since it is now a 'weighted' automatic response system, it DOES happen a lot more quickly. But then again, it may only have been coincidence that it happened immediately after YOUR report -- there may have been several other reports already in ahead of you that triggered it, even before yours registered. But I must admit, I am seeing much quicker responses to reports with the new system in place.

When you are a "trusted reporter", then your report holds more weight with YA.
Q:"How do I know if I'm considered a trusted reporter?
Trust levels are always in flux, and there isn't a "Trusted Reporter" title you can earn. This is why there are no "indicators" or "badges" on your account telling you that you're trusted. Whether a question or answer is removed by the community depends on many "
found on HELP menu here on YA.

I called someone stupid and someone reported me. I mean, come on, who ever reported me, where do you live? Mars? Has no one called you stupid before?
Anyway, I think that Yahoo! Is trying to increase its appeal as a nice place, unlike YouTube, which is practically flooded with cursing and comment flame-wars. That's my guess.

Apparently because you're a long time user and don't report very often (You don't report unnecessarily), Yahoo! has decided that you are a "Trusted Reporter" and your reports carry more weight.
