I feel he's misunderstood. He's following in his father's footsteps.

In the sixth book, he was caught crying in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom and he chickened out when he was supposed to kill Dumbledore.

In the seventh book, he seemed a tad scared. Harry saved him in the cursed fire and that seemed to actually change him.

In the epilogue, he didn't make any rude remarks. They never said who his wife was though.

    Does he sound evil now?

I think he is misunderstood. What most people don't realise is that his attitude is second nature to him. He was raised to believe in blood purity, wealth, and power. Just as the weasly family was raised to believe the opposite. If Ron were born to the malfoys, he would have turned out just like draco. Also in the last two books we see a completly different side to him. His unability to kill dumbledore shows he has some forms of morals and a good heart. And his alliance with Voldemort is just so that Voldemort doesnt kill him or his family. Which shows that he cares and loves his family and if he had the choice I believe he would have not sided with Voldemort. All in all Draco is greatly misunderstood.

i dont think draco is evil, but he is very mean (in the earlier books). in the 6 and 7 book draco is very hesitant to be evil. he only did what he did to protect his mom.

he's misunderstood. he's a confused youth being influenced by his fathers past and current deeds. but i have to say i really enjoyed imagining george and harry beating the bloody hell out of him. ^-^

He's misunderstood, but never tries to straighten himself and have his persona understood - so he acts upon his misuderstood life through evil.

    Very well written character.

    Missunderstood.

he's mean, but I blame it on upbringing... so is that his fault? no. but the fact that he's done some malicious stuff throughout the book serious can't be "misunderstood." he just needs therapy. haha

What's to understand? He's an obnoxious, vile, spoiled, pompous cowardly little freak who was probably abused as a child and uses that as an excuse to behave like the little insectoid jerk that he is. 'Evil'?? Pfft. He's not effective enough to be evil. He's evil in his dreams.
