If I have a 70% in spanish class, and the final exam is 20% of our grade, what do i need to get on the final to get a B (80-89%)

    80% ( 70% ) + 20% ( x ) = 80% <~> 80% ( 70% ) + 20% ( x ) = 89%

    0.56 + 0.2( x ) = 0.8 <~> 0.56 + 0.2( x ) = 0.89

    0.2x = 0.24 <~> 0.2x = 0.33

    x = 1.20 <~> x = 1.65

    Between a 120% and a 165%

    This means you currently have 70% of points towards the 80% of your grade or 56% total. Since your final is only 20%, your highest possible grade in 76%.
