i got so mad the other night when a friend of mine argued that Nirvana did nothing for music. this same person loves kenny chesney and thiks gun n roses are the best ever! gimme a break!!!!!

i will say the first two i totally agree with you except for the third one..as much as i love nirvana too..i would have to say the beach boys belong on that list. their music is amazing and should be along side those two great names on the list

Tell your friend he is completely ignorant on the subject. Nirvana changed the face of music. They brought upon the whole Punk Rock phrase. Also The Beatles and Elvis are classic. They created the music world.

ok..black sabbath started the whole heavy metal scene so they are up there for me. slayer brought the whole death/ thrash genre to the public since 1980. and i think in a bad way, pantera lead on for nu-metal music....such as slipknot, korn and limp bizkit.
