Can I substitute Yellow Cake Mix for a Butter Cake Mix (yellow).?

I'm making a rum cake and the recipe calls for a butter cake mix, the mix I have is the standard yellow cake mix.

Can I add butter instead of oil? If so, how much.

    Melt the butter so that it equals the oil and proceed as usual.
