ok my friend has a 2000 cavalire and he was driveing it to work and it just died?
We have checked the coil, control mod, I am thanking maybe fuel pump but don't really want to put money on it if it is not the fuel pump i do have fuel at the presure test point but not much presure I haven't seen to many fuel pumps just quit like that though

I agree with post above, probably a fuel pump. We had a Cavalier and it went trough 2 of them in 50K miles, so its not an unusual problem.

fuel pumps do go out like this, usually from not changing fuel filter and running the vehicle out of gas. should have at least 45 psi

take a rubber mallet and whack the bottom of the gas tank a couple of times to see if it wakes up fuel pump. works all the time for me.and change the filter.....it's out of sight, and out of mind,when service is needed,and usually too late.

Fuel pump. Not hard to replace. Your car must not have emblems on it anymore. It's Cavalier.
