Does bluetooth drain my phone battery?
Hi, i have a nokia 6288 and i want to know about using my bluetooth.
Am i okay to leave my bluetooth on? I am not worried about getting virus's or anything, i just want to know if it drains the battery quicker. If so, How fast does it drain for?
Help is appreciated muchly.
Jack.
And please No spam or answers that say "I Don't Know".
Thanks

I've got a nokia which I've just taken to a phone shop and asked someone to look at because the battery kept going flat after hardly any time (and hardly any usage) they said it was probably because i had the bluetooth on all the time and it was draining the battery. So I've now switched it off!

I think on every phone Bluetooth will drain the memory. I suggest doing what I do, just turning it on when you need it. I have a Samsung phone and I find that Bluetooth on for an hour will drain my battery by one bar.

Having the Bluetooth enabled will drain the battery, as the receiver will be ready to accept incoming connections. It will drain faster yet if you have a Headset connected or are using other connections (DUN or Object Transfer).

It will drain your battery quicker than if the bluetooth wasnt on. It's still ok to leave it on you just wont have as much life in your battery.

Yes it does, because it's always scanning for people nearby. Turn it off when you don't need it.

yes, because your phone is always looking for other devices.
