The best software gets the job done in a reasonable fashion. No built-in limitations or gotchas.

if your are talking about media player then Zoom Player and Media player classic are the best. For chatting windows live and Google talk. For tottent utorrent. Antivirus Avast etc.

Writing your own software gives satisfaction beyond anything made on a CD.

I find flash and dreamweaver to be the best programmes out there because of there ease of use.

utorrent is the best software to download torrrent files...it's ease of use and lightweight makes it the best !
